The Challenge
An Incredible View with Limited Space to Enjoy It
The homeowners had one of the best backyard views in the neighborhood — sitting right on the tee box of the golf course. But with no patio or outdoor living space, the view went to waste. They wanted a space to entertain guests, gather around a fire, and take full advantage of the setting.
The project needed to work with the existing second-story deck, integrate multiple levels to manage the grade, and include a focal-point fireplace that anchored the entire space.
Our Approach
Built Around the View
We designed the entire layout to frame the golf course view. A custom stone fireplace was positioned at the far end of the patio, facing inward so guests could enjoy the fire with the course as the backdrop. Curved seating walls with integrated LED lighting flank each side of the fireplace.
The patio was built on multiple levels beneath and around the existing deck, with herringbone-pattern pavers, stone pillars with cap lights, and custom steps connecting each level. Every element was designed to flow naturally with the home’s architecture.

The Result
The Best Seat on the Course
The finished space turned an underused backyard into the ultimate outdoor living area. The stone fireplace serves as the centerpiece, with the warm glow of integrated lighting transforming the entire patio at sunset. The multi-level design creates distinct areas for gathering, dining, and relaxing.
The homeowners now host neighbors, family, and friends regularly — and the view from the tee box has never looked better than from behind their own fireplace.
